Range Rules 1. All federal, state, and local firearm laws must be obeyed. 2. Gun safety is YOUR first and foremost responsibility! Be sure your firearm is safe to operate, and know how to use it safely. 3. All shooters, and their guardian if applicable, must complete and sign the American Classic Marksman Shooting Range Admission form; read, understand and sign in the section that RELEASES American Classic Marksman FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY FOR PERSONAL INJURY while on American Classic Marksman's' property. 4. Anyone under 21 years of age must be accompanied by their parent or guardian. The only exception to this age limit is military personnel (Active and Reserve) wherein the shooter must be accompanied by an adult at least 21 years of age. Young shooters (under 21 years of age) are only allowed to shoot on the range with their parent or guardian. 5. Commands issued by ACM staff must be obeyed immediately and without question. 6. All firearms not on the firing line must be holstered or unloaded with their action open and the magazine removed; otherwise, the firearm should be unloaded and encased. 7. Eye and ear protection must be worn at all times before immediately entering and while on the range. 8. No one is permitted forward of the firing line (the bench) at any time. 9. Only one weapon may be fired at a time. 10. Convicted FELON and under the influence or suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be allowed on the range. 11. Pregnant women, or people subject to seizures, are not allowed on the range. 12. Always keep firearms pointed downrange and unloaded until ready to use. 13. Treat every gun as if it is loaded, and keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot. 14. Do not lay a firearm down on the bench rest unless it is unloaded. 15. Do not hand a loaded firearm to another person. 16. Use only the correct ammunition for your firearm. 17. Only approved paper targets may be used on the range. We reserve the right to prohibit targets we deem offensive or unsafe. Use the appropriate size target, placed at eye level or lower, to ensure that your shot strikes the backstop and not the floor, ceiling, or target carrier. Shoot only at your target. Firing a shot that results in damage to any range equipment may result in a repair fine, and/or removal from the range. 18. Do not remove a jammed or malfunctioning firearm from the firing point. Lay the gun down on the bench with the barrel pointed down range. Then ask ACM range personnel for assistance. 19. Only load guns on the shooting booth bench. Do not load guns on the back bench. 20. When finished firing, unload your gun before leaving the shooting booth. If you observe any violation of these range rules, please bring it to the attention of any American Classic marksman staff member and we will take corrective action. It is our goal to have a completely safe range for you to enjoy every visit.
